Στο πλαίσιο της συνεργασίας τους με 3 ευρωπαϊκά Πανεπιστήμια (Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Portugal, Πανεπιστήμιο Avignon (Γαλλία), Πανεπιστήμια Πελοποννήσου και Θεσσαλίας και της έρευνας που εκπονούν από κοινού με θέμα ”Η πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της ελιάς για τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη: ευαισθητοποίηση των κοινοτήτων για την ζωντανή κληρονομιά τους’’, έργο OLIVE4ALL, οι Δρόμοι της Ελιάς συμμετείχαν σε αυτό το εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον διεθνές επιστημονικό Συνέδριο το οποίο πραγματοποιήθηκε στην Πορτογαλία από τις 4 μέχρι τις 7 Οκτωβρίου 2023.

Οι εργασίες φιλοξενήθηκαν σε διαφορετικές πόλεις από τα τοπικά Πανεπιστήμια (Tomar, Azinhaga do Ribatejo, Oliveira do Hospital, Lamego, Mirandela & Vila Nova de Foz Côa) και πλαισιώνονταν από επισκέψεις σε Μουσεία Ελιάς και Ελαιολάδου, ελαιοκομικές εγκαταστάσεις και συναντήσεις με τοπικούς ελαιοπαραγωγούς.

Οικοδεσπότες του Συνεδρίου ήταν το Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, το Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, το Ίδρυμα José Saramago στην Azinhaga, το Μουσείο Ελαιολάδου της Bobadela, το Μουσείο Ελιάς & Ελαιολάδου της Mirandela, το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο της Côa με την υποστήριξη των Πανεπιστήμιων της Coimbra, του Porto, της Braganza και του Ιδρύματος Côa Parque.

Στις εργασίες συμμετείχαν εκπρόσωποι σημαντικών φορέων της Πορτογαλίας όπως η CEPAAL (Centro de Estudos e Promoção do Azeite do Alentejo), η APPITAD (Associação de produtores de proteção integrada da região de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro), η Περιφερειακή Δ/νση Τουρισμού Κεντρικής Πορτογαλίας, η Περιφερειακή Δ/νση Τουρισμού των περιοχών Alentejo και Ribatejo, o Δήμαρχος της πόλης Tomar κ.α.
