Globalization and rural societies. States, civil society and actors’ strategies
Περιγραφή:
This book is a scientific research. While the role of states seemed to be increasingly reduced in the mid-1990s due to globalisation, this work shows how the state has re-imposed itself at all levels of decision-making. Although it no longer has the same role nor the same strength, it has been able to redeploy its mode of intervention in the Mediterranean, by setting up new frameworks for action for the various actors in rural society, encouraging, here and there, the emergence of a civil society in rural areas.
