“CLUSTER SERVAGRI” Italy-Tunisia FINAL EVENT

On December 11th and 12th, the final event of the Italy-Tunisia cooperation project “CLUSTER SERVAGRI”, organized by the Regional Department of Agriculture of the Sicilian Region within the framework of the project, will be held in Syracuse (Sicily).

More specifically, the results of the project, the considerations and reasoning on possible development perspectives for the cross-border olive sector of the 2 countries will be presented during the first day. At mid-day there will be a master-class on certified olive oils from Sicily, run by Catania’s APO. In the afternoon, the event will feature a series of presentations on olive tourism and the opportunities and prospects it offers for the sustainable development of Mediterranean olive growing.

In the morning of December 12, the final meeting of the partners and the technical committee of the project will take place. In the afternoon, participants will be able to visit farms involved in the quality system and are points of interest of the tourism cultural route “Routes of the Olive Tree” that was created in the framework of the Cluster Servagri project.

The “Routes of the Olive Tree” will participate with a presentation by Ms. Marinella Katsilieri, entitled: “On the Routes of the Olive Tree: a sensory journey from Sicily to Tunisia”. The route proposal that was recently developed in the framework of the Cluster Servagri project was realized in cooperation with Sicilian and Tunisian stakeholders involved in the project.
