The collaborators of the Cultural Foundation also attended the Mediterranean Diet Forum in Imperia, Italy, at the invitation of the Mediterranean Olive Oil Cities Network-RECOMED and the Chamber of Imperia.
The «Routes of the Olive Tree» were represented at the Forum which took place in Imperia, Italy, on 14-16 November 2014, by its executive director Mr. George Karampatos and Mrs. Margherita Bovicelli, honorary ambassador of Italy in southern Peloponnese and member of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee.
The Forum included an International cooking contest for the «Mediterranean Diet Menu 2014» with the participation of food bloggers from several Mediterranean countries.
Mr. Karampatos and Mrs. Bovicelli also participated in the scheduled Meeting of the Mediterranean Olive Oil Cities Network (Re.Co.Med), in which the «Routes of the Olive Tree» are among the most active members. In fact, the Foundation is in charge of conducting a scientific study around the Mediterranean Diet and its connection to culture in Greece and the Mediterranean. Were presented the progress of the work and the results achieved so far by the Scientific Committee of the Routes of the Olive Tree on the subject, and was coordinated the continuation of the study.
