From 26 to 28 April 2025, the OLIVITALY MED Exhibition took place at the Castello di Rocca in Cilento, Italy, as part of the Mediterranean Diet celebrations. The event featured a rich program of activities focused on extra virgin olive oil and Mediterranean cuisine, including speeches on agrotourism, the future of olive oil, food pairings, and tasting seminars by Italian experts.
The exhibition showcased high-quality regional products such as PDO San Marzano tomatoes, while local chefs demonstrated traditional recipes using extra virgin olive oil. The event fostered strong ties among representatives of the UNESCO Emblematic Communities from Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Morocco—and Koroni, Greece.
Koroni was proudly represented by Mr. Yannis Karvelas and Mr. Panagiotis Markakis, who met with local officials and shared Koroni’s olive oil and publications from the Municipality of Pylos-Nestoros and the Maniataki Foundation. Their presence strengthened international cooperation and reaffirmed Koroni’s commitment to promoting the values of the Mediterranean Diet.
