The Cultural Organization “Routes of the Olive Tree”, warmly welcomes the appointment of Costanza Sboukο-Konstantakopoulou as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the Protection and Promotion of Culture.
The announcement was made by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, who introduced four international personalities appointed to this honorary role, emphasizing that “they embody the diversity of talents and experience that enrich the Organism’s work.”
An architect, entrepreneur and President of Endeavor Greece, Mrs. Sboukο-Konstantakopoulou has consistently linked creativity with sustainable development, contributing actively to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
Her diverse professional activity — through her roles at Phāea Resorts, TEMES – Costa Navarino, and her participation in leading cultural and research institutions such as the Benaki Museum, the National Archaeological Museum, ELIAMEP, and the ‘’Captain Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation’’ (a supporter of the “Routes of the Olive Tree”) — illustrates her dedication to connecting culture, education, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
The ” Routes of the Olive Tree” recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Route of Intercultural Dialogue for Peace and Sustainable Development (166th Session of the Executive Committee, 2003), which for more than 25 years have contributed to the promotion of intercultural dialogue through culture, consider this new mission an important step in strengthening the role of UNESCO and highlighting the common values of culture, peace, and sustainable development, as reflected in the UN Goals (Agenda 2030). In this shared spirit, the Routes of the Olive Tree continue to work for the promotion of Mediterranean culture, the celebration of the Olive Tree as a symbol of the Mediterranean landscape, and the revitalization of rural communities through the ANIMA TERRA initiative, inspired by the values of the Routes of the Olive Tree and dedicated to cultural and sustainable revival.
