The “Routes of the Olive Tree” present the most recent project they are participating as partners, started in the autumn of 2023, a prestigious project included in the European Erasmus+ programme of the European Union: NEXT ROUTES – Upskilling of staff through digital, creative gamification and innovative strategies for the enhancement of EU Cultural Routes.
The project, for the duration of 24 months, brings together six Europe-certified Cultural Routes: The Phoenicians’ Route as lead partner of the project, the European Jewish Heritage Route, European Mozart Ways, the Routes of the Olive Tree Route, ATRIUM Route and the Iron Age Danube Route, moreover, Mobile Idea Srl, one of the EU’s leading private companies specializing in technological innovation applied to the cultural and tourism sector, ARGO, and the University of Applied Sciences in Breda.
The innovative idea behind this work and collaboration aims to reinforce and improve actions to further strengthen the creative skills, knowledge and digital competencies of CR’s staff, to support the Routes in the digital transition. The work will be done by promoting cultural heritage through innovative gamification approaches like the proposal of a user-friendly toolkit with its user manual for the enhancement of their territories and heritage, accessible also to interested members and stakeholders.
On 14th November 2023 the project had its official start with the Kick-off meeting in the city of Salzburg, hosted by the dear partners of the Mozart Ways. An important meeting, and discovering of the great heritage of the Wolfgan Amadeus Mozart family, with all the project partners to define objectives and expectations for these months of collaboration. The first steps were taken, which include a methodological research for cultural routes. first step towards future goals. Next meeting will be in May and will see all partners gathered in the Netherlands.
