The exhibition is part of the overall project “Margarites/Daisies” with which the Municipal Gallery of Larissa-G.I. Katsigras Museum participates in the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe “Roads of Impressionism”

Capital of Thessaly, Larissa enjoys its privileged location halfway between the two most important Greek cities: Athens and Thessaloniki. As reaffirmed by the Mayor of the city, Apostolos Kalogiannis and the Vice-President of the Municipal Gallery, Anny Psarra, the program implemented from May 25, 2021 which will extend over the years 2021 and 2022 by the Municipal Museum of the city (Permanent Collection GI Katsigras), member of Impressionisms Routes©, intends to promote the works of Greek artists linked to the Impressionist movement.

In addition to the works of Thalia Flora-Karavia, the exhibition, now open to the public, brings together 13 contemporary artists. Promoted by Impressionisms Routes©, this initiative fits perfectly with the objectives of the network and the values of the Council of Europe to bring art and heritage as close as possible to the territories.
