Land disruptions in the Mediterranean. Farming under the impact of urbanisation and privatisation
It is a scientific work, compiling various articles written by university researchers from the Mediterranean, dealing with one region per article. What are the territorial dynamics generated by the context of globalisation of economies and liberalisation of exchanges? What is the response of land farmers to these changes? The book focuses on peri-urban areas and territories undergoing processes of land privatisation. Within the framework of a regional cooperation programme between the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies and the European Community, co-led by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier and the Institution of Agricultural Research and Higher Education in Tunisia, the network research carried out covers Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Morocco, Romania, Tunisia and Ivory Coast.
