Britain and the Mediterranean : studies on the supply of Betic and African oil in Britannia

This study analyses the Roman olive oil trade on the basis of archaeological evidence from Betic and African amphorae from the province of Britannia, located on the north-western frontier of the Empire. A complete catalogue of amphora is included with over 1,800 entries of the most common container in the British Isles: the “Dressel 20” amphora.
