On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme, the French post office has chosen the Cultural Routes « Routes of the Olive Tree» to be depicted on its new stamp…
The stamp, available in the French post offices since December 2017, costs 1,10€. It depicts some table olives, given that the Cultural Route « Routes of the Olive Tree » is a route symbolising gastronomy connected to financial welfare and quality of life.
Apart from the « Routes of the Olive Tree », the French post office has also chosen 3 more Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe for its stamp: the «Route Saint-Jacques de Compostelle/Santiago de Compostella Pilgrim Routes», the «Chemins de l’art rupestre prehistorique / Prehistoric Rock Art Trail» and «Sites Clunisiens en Europe / Cluniac Sites in Europe», for the values they represent and support on a European level.
