The Experience Lab took place on 27-28January 2017 in Kalamata, in the framework of the project «Well-O-Live: Wellness & Wellbeing Experience across the European Routes of the Olive Tree». Well-O-Live is a EU-funded transnational project on thematic rural tourism and the innovative design, management and promotion of thematic tourism products & traditional products, focused on olive growing regions.
During the interventions and thematic workshops, Greek and foreign contributors and experts analysed how a region’s local traditions and products, sites and comparative advantages can turn into attractive tourism proposals, business opportunities and local development tools.
The contributions and workshops focused on 5 main themes: design and management of thematic tourism products, sustainability, valorisation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, with emphasis on the olive tree, cultural routes and innovative marketing proposals.
The Well-O-Live Experience Lab was organised by the Cultural Foundation «Routes of the Olive Tree», member of the Well-O-Live partnership and certified implementing body of the Council of Europe Cultural Route «Routes of the Olive Tree».
