The « Routes of the Olive Tree » attended the 5th International Forum of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, which took place from 26-27 October 2016 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The annual Forum of cultural routes was an excellent opportunity for exchange and discussions among participants, speakers and representatives of European institutions. It was also a perfect occasion to engage in further discussions, reflect upon and stimulate exchanges with partners active in culture, tourism and other sectors.
At the 2016 edition of the Forum, the Cultural Foundation «Routes of the Olive Tree» was represented by Mrs. Françoise Tondre, vice-president of its scientific committee. In her speech, Mrs. Tondre stressed the need to focus on intercultural dialogue and networking among European institutions and the cultural routes of the Council of Europe. She also presented the new initiative of the cultural route “Routes of the Olive Tree» entitled AGORA, through European and Baltic countries, underlining its main idea, the importance of intercultural dialogue for sustainable development.
