Capitalisation Event of the project MedDiet – Mediterranean Diet And Enhancement of Traditional Foodstuff – Part B

The project “Mediterranean Diet and Enhancement of Traditional Foodstuff – MedDiet” is a strategic project funded by European Union in the framework of the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme (www.enpicbcmed.eu). The ENPI CBC Med Programme aims at reinforcing cooperation between the European Union and partner countries regions placed along the shores of the Mediterranean. The second MedDiet Capitalization event is being held from March 14 to March 16 in Athens, in the framework of the 2nd session of FoodExpo, and was implemented by the Greek partner, Cultural Foundation “Routes of the Olive Tree”.

The Cultural Foundation «Routes of the Olive Tree» continues the promotion/ communication activities on Mediterranean Diet and the capitalisation of results of the project MedDiet – Mediterranean Diet and Enhancement of Traditional Foodstuff». The events are implemented in the framework of the 2nd International Food & Drinks FoodExpo Exhibition (Athens, Metropolitan Expo, 14-16 March 2015), in which the Cultural Foundation participates as a supporter and co-organizer.

The events include Information semi-days on the following themes: Organic products and PDO, PGI Products -Foodstuff excellence – Mediterranean Diet & Modern Consumers -Culture, Health , Innovation – Meat the experts – Dairy farming: The next 110years – Greek foodstuff conquer international markets. In the framework of the events which will gather renowned scientists and food experts, specific groups of public will be thoroughly informed on the MedDiet Project and its targets, highlighted as a model to follow. Will be presented new alternatives for the promotion of Greek and Mediterranean products to the international markets, as defined during the project implementation, and there will be an open discussion with the public.

Events will also include a 3days interactive presentation, entitled «Love yourself, love the Mediterranean Diet!». The agenda includes: Mediterranean Diet Pyramid/Questions & Answers/ Briefing to the public / Presentation of the gastronomic treasures of the Mediterranean / Distribution of promotional material and gadgets.
