On 30-31 October 2014, the Cultural Foundation « Routes of the Olive Tree » participated in the International Advisory Forum on the Council of Europe Cultural Routes in Baku (Azerbaijan)
The Foundation was represented at the Forum by Mrs. Zoe KAZAZAKI, former Director of International Relations of the Greek Ministry of Culture and currently President of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation.
In her thorough intervention, Mrs. Kazazaki analyzed the need to support intercultural dialogue and proposed ways to approach different civilizations by means of the olive tree. She also focused on the importance of initiating young people into the olive tree civilization and symbolism and the urgency to raise awareness on the nutritional value of olive products by valorizing the traditional Mediterranean gastronomy. In the framework of the forum, the Cultural Foundation managed to establish a bilateral collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan about the implementation of promotional actions on cultural routes.
